Novelist Agatha Christie, philosopher Soren Kierkegaard, architect Frank Lloyd Wright and actor Al Pacino will each be the subject of a course, as will Jesus, studied as a historical figure. Recreational courses are offered for those who want to learn mountain dulcimer, line dancing, needlepoint, swing dancing, piano and more. Other courses will foster an appreciation for summer white wines, film history, sacred sites in Ireland, and affordable outings in Asheville.

A special summer OLLI membership is available for $35. The summer term course fee is $75 for an unlimited number of courses. Some scholarships are available; the deadline to request a scholarship is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22.
