New Exhibit by UNC Asheville Art Faculty to Open August 22

Twelve UNC Asheville Art Department faculty members will display their work in a wide-ranging exhibition Aug. 22-Sept. 19 at UNC Asheville's S. Tucker Cooke Gallery. The show kicks off the gallery's 2014-2015 season. There will be an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, in the gallery.

Participating studio art faculty are Tamie Beldue, Virginia Derryberry, Robert Dunning, Scott Lowrey, Jackson Martin, Brent Skidmore, Carrie Tomberlin, Eric Tomberlin, Robert Tynes, Matt West and Megan Wolfe. The exhibit features work in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and ceramics.

The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public. Located on the first floor of Owen Hall, the S. Tucker Cooke Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. For more information, visit the Department of Art website or call 828.251.6559.
