UNC Asheville Offers SAT Prep Courses Beginning Nov. 17

body:

Registration is now open for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) prep classes offered by the UNC Asheville. Classes will meet on the UNC Asheville campus.

The SAT prep class will meet from 6-8:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays for three consecutive weeks, Nov. 17 – Dec. 3. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the class scheduled for Nov. 26 will instead be held on Nov. 25. After the classes officially end at 8:30 p.m., the instructors stay another 30 minutes to help individual students with problem areas and to give practice test items to those who want extra coaching and assistance.

The prep course is taught by two experienced instructors, and covers all aspects of the SAT, including verbal ability and mathematical competence, and includes test-taking techniques, timesaving methods and logical reasoning. The SAT will be offered at area high schools on Dec. 6.

Cost for the prep class is $295, which includes 18 hours of instruction and all study materials. For more information or to register, visit the Asheville Graduate Center website or call 828.250.2353.
