The exhibit is the culmination of Jewett’s work toward a bachelor's degree with a major in art.
The acrylic painting series is a convergence of decorative elements of pattern and repetition merged with gray-scale images of women. The pieces examine the depth and flow of women's actions and emotions, and aspects of the term “feminine.”
The exhibition will be on view through November 8 during the Asheville Community Theatre’s regular hours from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. The opening reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public. For more information, call 828.251.6559.
