WNC College Fair Set for Sept. 11

High school students from all over Western North Carolina will get a chance to meet with representatives of more than 90 colleges when UNC Asheville hosts the 2014 WNC College Fair, from 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, in Kimmel Arena in the university’s Sherrill Center.

The fair is sponsored by the Carolina Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO) and features representation from many private universities and colleges, many University of North Carolina system campuses including UNC Asheville, UNC Chapel Hill, N.C. State University, Appalachian State and Western Carolina, and community and technical colleges.

More than 750 people, including prospective students and their families from as far away as Cherokee and Polk counties, attended last year’s event, also held at UNC Asheville. This annual event had previously been held at the Asheville Mall.

Admission to the 2014 WNC College Fair is free and no pre-registration is required. For more information, visit the Admissions website.
